Hammer Drops on Bolesworth Elite Foal Auction

Bolesworth attracted plenty of bidders to its successful 2022 Elite Foal Auction last night, Friday the 12th of August.

With 25 foals from remarkable bloodlines and one embryo by Chacco Blue, the Auction was hailed as the strongest, and best yet.

Twenty-one foals, out of 25, were sold on the night.

Top lot Uptons Funky Echo sold to the UK for £32,000. Uptons Funky Echo is the son of prolific Funky Music, CSI 1. 60m.The father of this striking colt Echo Van’t Spieveld combines his Heartbreaker blood perfectly with the Vigo D’arsouilles daughter ‘Funky Music’ to create a foal with technique, quality, balance and scope.

Uptons Funky Echo was closely followed by PK Carrera with the hammer falling at £31,000 – again, sold to the UK. PK Corera is a unique Cornet Filly out of Arera C – one of the best international mares of her generation. Her sire Cornet Obolensky needs no introduction; he has dominated the sport and breeding world for over a decade.
