It’s with a huge amount of excitement that the Bolesworth team launch The Equitop Bolesworth Young Horse Championship AES Elite Foal and Elite Ramiro B auction catalogue.

Hosted at the new Equitop Bolesworth Young Horse Championship 14th – 18th August, the outstanding selection of young stock have all been hand-picked by the Bolesworth Auction Team, all meeting the rigorous selection criteria based on world class breeding with a strong emphasis on black type dam lines, confirmation and scope.

A real highlight to the event schedule, the Bolesworth Elite Auctions bring together the very best in sports horse breeding with many graduates already proving themselves as exciting prospects on the international stage.  This year is no exception as the selection of young stock bring a serious amount of ‘wow factor’ to the main arena at Bolesworth Castle, including Tinka’s Lady, the full sister to the Bolesworth Elite Auction Sales Topper of 2017, Tinka’s Star!  Sired by Individual Olympic Gold Medallist stallion Big Star and out of Billy Twomey’s top mare, Tinka’s Serenade, who herself is by the much sought after Tinka’s Boy, Tinka’s Lady is certainly one to watch out for. This filly brings just a taste of the quality being offered across the whole catalogue.  Other stand out dams include Arla (Full sister to Aristio), Ruby VIII (Grand Prix winner with both Louise Whitaker & Holly Smith), Concordia (Full Sister to Cassal), and 1.60m Jumper Ashdale Luxara. Notable sires to the catalogue include show jumping legends Taloubet Z, Big Star, Diamant De Semilly, Balou Du Rouet, Casall ASK and Quintero La Silla to name just a few, the sires are matched in heritage by the strength of the Dam line which also features consistent 1.60m performers.

Bolesworth Equestrian Managing Director Nina Barbour said “This year’s elite auction selection really is outstanding, we have been trusted to present world class youngstock onto a global stage, really setting the bar very high for British Breeding. I am very passionate about the British Equestrian Industry as a breeder, competitor and also event organiser, the new Equitop Bolesworth Young Horse Championship aims to bring a strong focus to the strength of British Breeding and young horse performance in the UK”.

As well as the AES Elite Foal Auction the BYHC will also be hosting an Elite Ramiro B auction, in memory of the legendary event stallion. Standing 6th in the World Breeding Federation Eventing Sire rankings, Ramiro B has consistently been one of the most popular eventing sires in the World, with his progeny including highly successful Cooley Master Class winning the Rolex Kentucky CCI 4* 2019 with Oliver Townend, followed by Cooley SRS taking 2nd at Badminton Horse Trials.

His outstanding legacy can see be seen throughout the auction catalogue with highlights throughout the dam and damsire lines including Champion Du Lys, Primitive Rising, Sky Boy and Carnaval Drum, with top dams including In The Sky and MS Phantom, an exceptional competitor in her own right with an outstanding technique over a fence, and proven record up to CCI4* level Eventing. The influence of the dam lines adds to the exceptional quality of the Ramiro B catalogue with top prospects being offered for both exciting careers in either show jumping or eventing.
